Junk car removal from wherever it's stuck
A junk car is rarely parked somewhere easy. It's wedged at the back of a driveway, sinking into the lawn behind a garage, or sitting in a condo spot the property manager wants back. We plan every pickup around where the car actually is, from junk car removal in Toronto parking garages to junk car removal in Hamilton backyards.
-
Driveways and garages
The car blocking your second parking spot or eating half the garage. We winch it out and load it, even when the tires are flat and the brakes have seized from sitting.
-
Backyards and side yards
If the car is behind a fence or gate, we'll work out a route. Measure the gate opening if you can, and tell us about soft lawn, decks or tight corners on the way.
-
Farms and rural properties
An old pickup behind the barn or a car parked in a field for years. Long lanes are fine, though in spring thaw or after heavy rain we may wait for the ground to firm up.
-
Condo and underground garages
Low ceilings keep standard tow trucks out of many parking garages. Tell us the posted clearance and your parking level, and we'll plan how to get the car to a spot where it can be loaded safely.
-
Laneways and shared driveways
Narrow city laneways and mutual drives need a careful driver and a short window. We'll agree on a time so neighbours aren't blocked for long, and work around whatever else is parked there.
-
Repair shops and storage lots
Car stuck at a garage after a repair quote you won't pay? Settle any bill owed and arrange its release with the shop, then we'll pick it up straight from their lot.
Junk car problems that won't stop a pickup
Most junk cars come with a list of problems, and many have several at once. None of these are deal-breakers for us as junk car buyers. If the car won't start at all, our page on non-running cars covers that too.
- No keys We load keyless cars with a winch and, if the steering is locked, a set of wheel dollies.
- Flat or missing tires Dollies and a flatbed winch handle cars that can't roll on their own.
- Seized brakes or wheels Cars that have sat for years often won't roll, so we slide them onto the deck instead.
- Dead battery No boost needed, because the car doesn't have to start or even turn over.
- Buried in snow or ice Clear what you can around the car and we'll handle the rest.
- Rodents and nests Mice and squirrels often move into parked cars, and it doesn't change whether we take it.
- Rusted-through floors and frames Even a car that's soft with rust still has metal value, and we load it carefully.
- Missing engine or parts Half-finished projects and parts donors are still worth something to us.
- Expired plates and no insurance A car doesn't need valid plates or insurance for us to tow it off private property.
- Stuck in park Cars locked in park with a dead battery need dollies, so mention it and we'll bring them.
How we tow junk cars out of tight spots
Getting a dead car out of an awkward place mostly comes down to the right equipment and knowing the access ahead of time.
Flatbed and winch
Most junk cars are pulled onto a tilting flatbed with a winch cable. The car doesn't need to start or steer. The driver controls the pull slowly so the car doesn't swing into fences, walls or other vehicles on its way up the deck.
Wheel dollies for cars that won't roll
When brakes are seized, tires are gone or the steering is locked, the driver sets dollies under the wheels. The car can then be rolled or pulled across a driveway or garage floor to a spot the truck can reach.
Low-clearance garages
Many underground garages are too low for a flatbed. We plan the move before we arrive, which may mean winching the car toward the ramp or rolling it on dollies to a spot the truck can reach. Check with your property manager about any rules for service vehicles.
Backyards and gates
If the car is behind a house, the truck needs a clear path or enough cable reach. Open gates, move bins and trailers, and tell us if the route crosses a lawn, curb or septic bed. The driver will flag any risk of marks before starting.
Rural lanes and soft ground
Heavy trucks sink in mud. During spring thaw or after a soaking rain, a car in a field may need to wait for firmer ground or be winched to the lane first. Frozen ground in deep winter can actually make access easier.
Winter pickups
We pick up all winter. Shovel a path to the car and brush the snow off the hood and roof if you can. A car frozen to the ground can usually be broken free with the winch, so ice alone won't cancel your pickup.
From eyesore to empty driveway in 3 steps
Here's how junk car pickup works, start to finish.
-
Step 1: Describe the car and where it sits
Call (289) 349-2006 or use the form. Along with the year, make and model, tell us where the car is parked, whether it rolls and whether you have keys. You'll get a firm cash offer in about 3 minutes.
-
Step 2: Clear the way
Book a pickup time, Monday to Saturday, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.. Same day is usually possible if you call before noon. Before the truck arrives, open gates, move other vehicles, and take your plates and belongings out of the car.
-
Step 3: We haul it out and pay you
The driver checks the car, your ownership (vehicle permit) and your photo ID. You sign, get paid in cash on the spot, and the truck loads the car and leaves, usually within about 30 minutes of arriving.
Is my junk car worth anything?
Yes: most junk cars bring $300 to $2,000, with minimums of $300 for cars and $500 for SUVs and minivans. When we pay cash for junk cars, what's still on the car matters far more than how long it's been sitting. For a closer look at metal pricing, see our scrap car removal page.
What sets the price
- What it weighs
- Steel value is the base of every junk car price, so trucks, vans and big SUVs start higher.
- What's still attached
- The engine, transmission, catalytic converter, wheels and battery all add to the offer.
- Time spent sitting
- Years in a yard rarely change scrap value much, as long as the major parts are still there.
- Where it's parked
- Backyards, farms and underground garages don't lower the price, because the tow is free wherever the car is.
- Metal markets
- Junk car prices follow steel and aluminum rates, which are updated month to month.
- Whether it could run
- If it starts with a boost and drives, it may be worth more as a used car than as junk.
- Sedan, coupe or hatchback
- from $300
- SUV or minivan
- from $500
- Pickup truck
- from $500
- Running used car
- up to $10,000
Prices depend on current scrap metal rates and are confirmed when you call.
How to get the most for your car
- Don't strip the car before we come; parts left on it pay.
- Tell us about missing parts up front so the price holds.
- Find the ownership now so it isn't a last-minute scramble.
- Ask a neighbour to move a blocking car before the truck arrives.
By-law notices, estates and move-outs
A junk car often becomes urgent all at once. Here are common situations that push people to remove a junk car from their property, and how to handle each one.
By-law notices: many Ontario municipalities have property standards or yard maintenance by-laws that limit keeping unplated or inoperable vehicles on residential property. If you've received a notice, tell us the compliance date when you call so we can schedule around it.
Condo rules: condo corporations often restrict storing inoperable cars in parking spaces. If management has asked you to move it, one pickup usually settles it.
Estates and downsizing: an old car in a parent's garage is often the last big item in a clean-out. Our guide to selling a car of a deceased family member explains the estate paperwork.
Selling the house: a dead car in the driveway doesn't help listing photos or showings, so clear it before the sign goes up.
A car that isn't yours: we can only buy a car from its owner or someone with authority to sell it. If a stranger's car has been left on your property, contact your municipality's by-law office or local police first.
What junk car removal customers say
Reviews from people who finally got their driveway back.

“Excellent service! Philip did a really good job of keeping his promised time to do the pick-up of my 2008 Honda Accord and paid whatever was agreed upon. Highly recommended scrap car removal service in Mississauga. Fast pickup and cash on the spot. No hassles and very pleasant experience.”

“I called after work around 7 p.m. I had a car I needed to get rid of and 30 minutes after I made the first call, he showed up and gave me a very fair deal on the car. Car was gone, money in my wallet and I was very happy. He was extremely pleasant, polite, fair and explained things to me the right way.”

Junk car removal questions
Still have a question? Call (289) 349-2006 and ask a real person.
Can you remove a junk car with no keys?
Yes. Keys aren't needed for junk car removal. The driver winches the car onto the truck and uses wheel dollies if the steering is locked. Just let us know there are no keys when you book so the right gear is on board.
What if the tires are flat or the wheels won't turn?
That's fine. Flat tires, missing wheels and seized brakes are common on cars that have sat for a while. We use dollies and the winch to move the car. Mention it when you book so the driver can plan a little extra time.
Will the tow truck damage my lawn or driveway?
We work hard to avoid it. Drivers stay on hard surfaces where possible and will tell you before starting if a route over grass or soft ground could leave marks. During spring thaw, waiting a few days for dry ground is sometimes the smarter call.
Can you get a car out of an underground condo garage?
Usually, yes. Tell us the building, the parking level and the clearance height posted at the entrance. Check with your property manager about rules for service vehicles, and we'll plan how to get the car to where it can be loaded.
Do you remove junk cars from farms and rural properties?
Yes. We pick up from farms, acreages and rural lots across our service area, including old pickups and cars that have sat in fields for years. Tell us about the lane, any gates and how soft the ground is when you call.
Do I need to be there for the pickup?
Someone authorized to sell the car needs to be there to sign and get paid, usually the registered owner. If the car is at another address, like a relative's farm or a storage lot, the owner can meet us there instead.
There's an abandoned car on my property that isn't mine. Can you take it?
We can't buy a car from someone who doesn't own it. Contact your municipality's by-law office or your local police non-emergency line first. They can explain how abandoned vehicles on private property are handled where you live.
I got a by-law notice about my car. How fast can you come?
Usually the same day if you call before noon, and otherwise the next day in most cases. Tell us the compliance date on the notice and we'll book around it. The tow is free and you'll be paid for the car.
Is it worth parting out my junk car first?
Usually not. Selling parts one at a time takes tools, space and weeks of messages, and the stripped shell is worth less afterward. Leaving the car complete keeps the offer simple and the pickup quick.
Do you charge extra for hard-to-reach cars?
No. Towing is free whether the car is at the curb, behind a fence or three levels underground. Tricky access changes how we plan the pickup, not what you're paid. Read more about our free car removal.
