Why businesses sell commercial vehicles to Top Cash 4 Cars
Retiring a work vehicle shouldn't pull a manager away from the business for a week. One call gets you a firm offer on every unit, and we fit the pickups around your schedule.
-
Pickup at your yard or job site
We collect from shops, yards, depots and job sites across the GTA and Golden Horseshoe. Tell us about gates, site hours and where the vehicles are parked. The tow is free for every unit.
-
One vehicle or several
Sell one worn-out van or clear a row of retired units. We quote each vehicle separately, so you can see exactly what you're getting for each one and choose which to sell.
-
Any condition
Running fleet units, high-kilometre vans, crash-damaged pickups and vehicles parked out back for years all qualify. Upfitted shelving, partitions and racks can stay where they are.
-
Business paperwork done properly
Vehicles registered to a corporation or business need the right signature. We'll tell you exactly what to have ready, so pickup day doesn't stall over a missing letter or the wrong signer.
-
Cash on the spot
Each vehicle is paid for at pickup. You get a bill of sale for every unit, which makes it easier to update your books, your insurance and your fleet records afterwards.
-
Scheduled around your operations
We pick up Monday to Saturday, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., so vehicles can go early in the day, after a shift or on a Saturday. Same-day pickup is usually possible for a single unit if you call before noon.
Commercial vehicles we buy
If it's light or medium duty and has a VIN, we'll make an offer. For a single personal pickup or SUV, see cash for trucks, vans and SUVs.
- Cargo vans Ford Transit and E-Series, Chevrolet Express, GMC Savana, Ram ProMaster, Nissan NV and Mercedes Sprinter vans.
- Work pickups Half-ton to one-ton pickups, including crew cabs, long boxes and 4x4s with plow or hitch wear.
- Cube vans and light box trucks Cutaway vans with cube or box bodies used for deliveries, moving and the trades.
- Service and utility bodies Pickups and cutaways fitted with service bodies, side compartments or ladder racks.
- Passenger vans Shuttle and passenger vans used by daycares, churches, hotels and community groups.
- Company cars Sedans, hatchbacks and SUVs driven by sales reps, managers and staff.
- Delivery and courier vehicles Minivans, small vans and cars that have piled up kilometres on daily routes.
- Taxi and rideshare cars High-kilometre sedans, hybrids and minivans retired from ride service.
- Dealer and lot leftovers Trade-ins and units that didn't sell, including ones that no longer run.
- Damaged or parked fleet units Crash-damaged, failed-safety or idle vehicles that are costing you insurance and yard space.
Selling several vehicles at once
Clearing out part of a fleet takes a little more planning than selling one car. Here's how we handle it.
Send us the list
Call or use the form to give us a simple list: year, make, model, kilometres, the VIN if you have it, and a line on each vehicle's condition. Photos help with upfitted or damaged units. We'll come back with a firm offer for each one, so you can sell the whole group or just some of it.
Mixed conditions are fine
Most fleets retire vehicles in different shapes. A running van with high kilometres, a pickup with a blown engine and a wrecked company car can all go in the same pickup plan. Each one is priced on its own weight, parts and condition.
Pickup timing
We can usually collect several vehicles in one visit, or spread pickups over a few days if units come off the road one at a time. Give us your yard hours, gate details and the best contact on site, and we'll plan the trucks around them.
Retiring vehicles over time
If you replace vehicles on a rolling schedule, call us each time a unit is ready. You get the same process every time: a firm quote, a free tow and cash on the spot. There's no contract to sign and no minimum number of vehicles.
Business paperwork: what you'll need
Company-owned vehicles need a few more details than a personal car. Call ahead and we'll tell you exactly what paperwork you need for your situation.
Ownership in the company's name
The ownership (vehicle permit) shows who the registered owner is. If that's a corporation or a registered business, the person signing should have authority to sell on its behalf, such as an owner, partner or officer. Whoever signs needs valid government photo ID.
Authorization for an employee
If a fleet manager, site supervisor or other employee is handing over the vehicle, have a signed letter of authorization from the business, ideally on company letterhead. It should name the employee and list each vehicle by VIN. Call us first so we can confirm what we'll need to see.
Liens, financing and leases
Many work vehicles are financed or leased. A lien must be paid off or disclosed before the sale, and a leased vehicle belongs to the leasing company until the lease is settled. Our guide to selling a car with a lien explains the steps.
Plates, insurance and fleet records
Licence plates belong to your business, not the vehicle, so remove them before pickup and keep them or return them to ServiceOntario. Once the vehicle is gone, update your insurance, fleet list and any GPS or fuel cards tied to it. See how plates work when you sell.
Sole proprietors
If you run your business under your own name and the vehicle is registered to you personally, it's the same as selling any personal vehicle: the ownership, your photo ID and the keys if you have them. Our Ontario paperwork checklist covers the basics.
What are your work vehicles worth?
Most scrap and junk work vehicles sell for $300 to $2,000, and heavier vans, pickups and cube vans often land toward the top of that range. Running units in good condition are valued as used vehicles and can be worth up to $10,000 each.
What sets the price
- Size and weight
- Full-size vans, one-ton pickups and cube vans carry more steel, which raises their scrap value.
- Running condition
- A unit that runs and drives is priced as a used vehicle, not as scrap.
- Kilometres and upkeep
- High kilometres lower used value, while maintenance records can help on running units.
- Engine and drivetrain
- Diesel engines, 4x4 systems and popular van platforms have steady parts demand.
- Bodies and upfits
- Box and service bodies add weight, and racks or shelving are judged on their condition.
- Rust and damage
- Frame rot, crash damage and missing parts lower the offer but don't stop the sale.
- Sedan, coupe or hatchback
- from $300
- SUV or minivan
- from $500
- Pickup truck
- from $500
- Running used car
- up to $10,000
Prices depend on current scrap metal rates and change month to month.
How to get the most for your car
- List the VIN, kilometres and known problems for each vehicle so every quote is firm.
- Leave catalytic converters, batteries and wheels on the vehicles.
- Group vehicles at one location when you can, which keeps scheduling simple.
- Pull tools, fuel cards, toll transponders and GPS units before pickup.
Commercial vehicle removal in 4 steps
The same process works for a single van or a whole row of them.
-
Step 1: Share the details
Call (289) 349-2006 or use the form with the year, make, model, kilometres and condition of each vehicle. Mention upfits, box bodies and anything that won't run. You'll get a firm offer on each unit, in about 3 minutes for a single vehicle.
-
Step 2: Confirm the paperwork
We'll tell you what to have ready: the ownership for each vehicle, photo ID for the signer and a letter of authorization if an employee is handling the sale. Sorting this out before pickup day keeps everything moving.
-
Step 3: Book the pickups
Choose a time that suits your operation. Tell us where the vehicles are parked, how to get through the gate and who will meet the driver. Larger units like cube vans may need a specific tow truck, so we'll plan for that.
-
Step 4: Sign and get paid
The driver checks each vehicle against its description, the authorized signer signs it over, and you're paid cash on the spot for each unit. Plates come off before loading. Towing is free for every vehicle, however many there are.
What our business customers say
-
“Excellent service! Philip did a really good job of keeping his promised time to do the pick-up of my 2008 Honda Accord and paid whatever was agreed upon. Highly recommended scrap car removal service in Mississauga. Fast pickup and cash on the spot. No hassles and very pleasant experience.”
Merben Figura Mississauga via Customer review -
“I called after work around 7 p.m. I had a car I needed to get rid of and 30 minutes after I made the first call, he showed up and gave me a very fair deal on the car. Car was gone, money in my wallet and I was very happy. He was extremely pleasant, polite, fair and explained things to me the right way.”

Fleet and commercial vehicle FAQs
Still have a question? Call (289) 349-2006 and ask a real person.
What types of commercial vehicles do you buy?
We buy light- and medium-duty vehicles: cargo and passenger vans, work pickups, cube vans, light box trucks, service-body trucks and company cars. We don't buy heavy trucks like highway tractors or buses. If you're unsure about a vehicle's size, call and we'll tell you right away.
Can I sell several vehicles at once?
Yes. Give us a list of the vehicles and we'll quote each one separately. We can usually pick up several in one visit or spread the pickups over a few days. You decide which units to sell, and there's no requirement to sell the whole group.
Do you buy running fleet vehicles, or only scrap?
Both. As fleet vehicle buyers, we price running units as used vehicles, based on year, kilometres, condition and demand, and they can be worth up to $10,000 each. Retired, damaged and non-running units are priced on weight and parts.
Who needs to sign if the vehicle belongs to a company?
Someone with authority to sell for the business, such as an owner, partner or officer, signs the ownership over and shows photo ID. If an employee is handling it instead, they'll need a signed letter of authorization from the company. Call ahead and we'll confirm what's needed.
Can I sell a work van with shelving and a ladder rack still installed?
Yes. You can sell a work van with its shelving, partitions and racks in place. Remove them only if you plan to reuse them in another vehicle. Tell us what's installed when you ask for a quote, so the offer reflects it.
How do I sell a company car an employee was driving?
To sell a company car, the business needs to authorize the sale, and the employee should clear out personal items, toll transponders and fuel cards first. If the car is leased, the lease has to be settled with the leasing company before it can be sold.
Do you pay businesses cash on the spot?
Yes. Every vehicle is paid for in cash on the spot at pickup, and you get a bill of sale for your records. If you're selling several units in one visit, each one is checked, signed over and paid for before it's loaded.
Will you pick up from a job site or industrial yard?
Is commercial vehicle removal free?
Yes. Commercial vehicle removal is free, including cube vans and heavier pickups, and the tow is never deducted from your offer. Larger units need a specific tow truck, so tell us the size and body type when you book. Here's how our free towing works.
