Scrap car removal in Paris, done properly
Every car reaches a point where fixing it costs more than it's worth. Around Paris, that often comes after a few hard winters on salted roads, when rust eats into the frame or the brake lines. Sometimes it's a blown engine on a car with 300,000 km, or a vehicle that has sat so long on a rural property that nothing works anymore.
That's when scrapping makes sense. We buy the car for what its steel and parts are worth, tow it from Paris for free and make sure it's recycled the right way. You don't have to arrange a tow truck, drive anywhere or stand around at a scrapyard scale.
You get paid before the car leaves your property, and you won't have to think about it again.
What decides your scrap price in Paris
A typical scrap car in Paris pays $300 to $2,000, and the biggest factor is how much it weighs. Our minimums are $300 for sedans and $500 for SUVs, minivans and pickups. The scrap value guide goes into more depth.
What sets the price
- Curb weight
- A full-size pickup can weigh close to twice as much as a compact car, and scrap is paid largely by the tonne.
- Steel and aluminum markets
- Metal prices rise and fall with demand, so the same car can be worth a little more or less from one month to the next.
- Catalytic converter
- Converters contain precious metals and add real value, which is why we ask you to leave yours on.
- Engine and transmission
- A complete drivetrain, even a broken one, adds weight and parts value.
- Wheels and tires
- Aluminum rims add a little, but a car sitting on bare rims or on blocks is still accepted.
- Missing pieces
- Parts already pulled off reduce the price, though an incomplete car is still worth something.
- Sedan, coupe or hatchback
- from $300
- SUV or minivan
- from $500
- Pickup truck
- from $500
- Running used car
- up to $10,000
Scrap prices follow current metal rates, so we confirm your exact number when you call.
How to get the most for your car
- Give us the exact year, make and model, plus the trim if you know it.
- Mention any parts that have already been removed.
- Keep the car whole until pickup instead of selling the converter separately.
- Find the ownership before you book the truck.
From phone call to empty driveway in 3 steps
Scrapping a car in Paris takes less effort than booking an oil change.
-
Step 1: Describe the car
Call (289) 349-2006 or fill in the form with the year, make, model and what's wrong with it. Tell us if any parts are missing. We'll give you a firm scrap price right away, with no obligation to accept it.
-
Step 2: Choose your pickup
Pick a day and time. If you call before noon, same-day pickup is usually possible, and next-day is easy. We'll confirm the appointment and let you know when the driver is heading your way.
-
Step 3: Sign, get paid, done
The driver checks the car, you sign the bill of sale and hand over the ownership, and you're paid in cash. Then the car is loaded and on its way to the recycler, usually within half an hour.
Getting your car ready for scrap pickup
A few minutes of prep makes pickup day quick. Our pickup prep guide has the full list.
Empty it out
Check the glovebox, the trunk, under the seats and the spare-tire well. Garage remotes, toll transponders, sunglasses and old paperwork are what people forget most. Once the car reaches the recycler, anything left inside is gone for good.
Take the plates off
Unscrew both licence plates before the truck shows up. Ontario plates stay with the owner rather than the car, so you can put them on your next vehicle or drop them off at ServiceOntario. Plate fees aren't refunded. Here's how plates work when you sell.
Find the ownership
We need the ownership (vehicle permit) and your photo ID. If the ownership is missing, call us before booking, since there's usually a way forward. Our guide to selling without ownership explains the options.
Leave the parts on
Don't pull the battery, converter or wheels to sell on their own. The offer assumes a complete car, and stripping parts usually lowers the price by more than they'd fetch separately.
Clear a path
Move other vehicles, trailers or equipment that block the car. In winter, shovel a lane to it if you can. If the car is in a barn or shed, make sure the doors can open all the way.
Where your Paris scrap car goes next
Your car doesn't end up in a field somewhere to rust. It goes to a licensed Ontario recycler, where the work happens in a set order. First, all the fluids are pumped out so nothing seeps into soil or groundwater, which matters in a rural area where many homes rely on private wells. Next, the battery, any mercury switches and the catalytic converter come out for specialized recycling. Usable parts are then pulled and sold to repair shops and drivers who need them.
What's left is crushed, shredded and sorted into steel, aluminum and other materials. Around 75–80% of a typical vehicle by weight can be recycled this way, and the steel heads back to mills to become new products. Read more in our guide on how car recycling works.

Scrap car removal in Paris: FAQs
Still have a question? Call (289) 349-2006 and ask a real person.
What's the least you'll pay for a scrap car in Paris?
Our minimum is $300 for a scrap sedan, coupe or hatchback and $500 for an SUV, minivan or pickup, as long as the car is complete. Heavier or newer vehicles often earn more. Prices depend on current scrap metal rates.
Do you charge anything to remove a scrap car from Paris?
No. The tow, the quote and the paperwork are free, wherever you are in Paris or the surrounding county. The price we quote is the amount you receive in cash.
How do I know if my car is ready for scrap?
If repairs would cost more than the car is worth, it's usually time. Common signs are a failed engine or transmission, a rusted frame, or a car that has sat so long its parts have seized. Our guide scrap, sell or trade in? can help you decide.
Do I need the keys to scrap my car?
No. Keys help, and we'll take every set you have, but we can tow a car without them. What we do need is the ownership (vehicle permit) and photo ID from the registered owner or someone authorized to sell.
Can I keep my tires, stereo or other parts?
You can, but tell us before we quote. Taking off wheels, the battery or the converter lowers the price, so it's usually better to leave the car complete. Small add-ons like a dash cam or phone mount are fine to remove.
What if my car is stuck in mud or snow on a farm near Paris?
We can usually still get it. Our trucks carry winches and can pull a car several metres to firmer ground. During the spring thaw, when fields are soft, we may suggest a dry day or a frozen morning so the truck doesn't sink.
Do you remove scrap cars in St. George and Glen Morris?
Yes. Both villages are part of our regular coverage around Paris, and towing is free. We also go to Burford, Ayr, Drumbo and the farms in between.
Is my car crushed right away?
No. It's drained of fluids and stripped of useful parts first. Crushing and shredding come last, once everything reusable has been recovered.
