The name on your ID should match the name on the ownership. If it doesn't, call us before pickup and we'll tell you what paperwork you need. ### Lost your ownership? You can get a replacement vehicle permit at any ServiceOntario location. Call us before you go, though. If there's a loan or lien on the car, it has to be paid off or disclosed before the sale. Call us, tell us who holds the loan and roughly what's left to pay, and we'll explain how the sale could work. It's much easier to sort out before pickup day than during it. ### What about my licence plates? Remove your licence plates before we tow the car. In Ontario, plates belong to you, not the vehicle, so you can keep them for your next car or return them to ServiceOntario. There's no refund for returning them.
